Pioneer Pastor In Charge 1997 - 2008
Revd. S. O. Oladejo, the pioneer Pastor in Charge of Chapel of Redemption (UMCA), was born over 70 decades ago in Jos and grew up on the Plateau. God mercifully delivered him from childhood killer deceases and overruled the naivety of his upbringing and circumstances to get him educated and converted.
By divine Providence and leading, he went to BSS Gindiri, a SUM Mission School for seven years, where he got born again, built up academically, physically, emotionally and Spiritually. While there, God by His grace and mercy installed in him unmerited leadership, pastoral, and other skills, which became apparent later.
Upon graduating as an Electrical Engineer, he served the Federal Government for about 20 years, after which God eased him out of public service, having reached the professional peak of his career at the State level, and called him into Ministry.
God appointed him as Pastor in Charge COR despite his previous positions and prejudices, then sent him to the United Missionary Church of Africa Theological College (UMCATC) for an M.Div degree, which he found most rewarding and inevitable. Revd. Oladejo, who served the church at various levels, was licensed in 2002 and ordained in 2004.
His years as Pastor in Charge of COR has been the greatest call for service for him. During the period, God indeed did "exceeding magnifical" things for him and the congregation. (1 Chronicles: 22:5) Praise the Lord! God positively touched the lives of the congregation through him. This was affirmed during the commendation service in his honour.
The church rose from scratch to become a giant in the land for the name of Christ during his leadership. Several miracles, healings, and deliverance took place under his leadership. The many arms of the church were formed and strengthened, and they continue to function effectively today. His greatest desire is that all who have come under God's ministration at COR will not miss heaven.
He is happily married to Mrs. R. E. Oladejo, and God has blessed them with children and others whom they have all raised in the way of the Lord.
